This stone carved frog peeking over a rock was a Bosa initiative completed by Appia Developments Inc. The piece is installed in a gazebo behind Buchanan Tower West. The Singing Frog is a whimsical subject placed in context with the daycare centre located beside it.
George Pratt (1939-present) is a professional sculptor in stone practising in British Columbia, Canada. He has lived in most areas of Canada including the arctic. Eventually settling in Toronto, he was there introduced to the stone-carving arts under E.B. Cox in 1970. He moved to Vancouver in 1975. Pratt’s works are carved in granite, marble, jade and other exotic ornamental stones of Canada. His work is widely collected in North America by private individuals and corporations.
