This stone carved landscape of a salmon river was commissioned by Bosa Properties Inc. in collaboration with Durante Kreuk Landscape Architects. It presents four sculpted bears enjoying salmon amid a stream of salmon shaped patinas. Nine carved stones enclose the area, giving the sense of a salmon river landscape and environment.
George Pratt (1939-present) is a professional sculptor in stone practising in British Columbia, Canada. He has lived in most areas of Canada including the arctic. Eventually settling in Toronto, he was there introduced to the stone-carving arts under E.B. Cox in 1970. He moved to Vancouver in 1975. Pratt’s works are carved in granite, marble, jade and other exotic ornamental stones of Canada. His work is widely collected in North America by private individuals and corporations.
