Douglas Quiring (b. 1956) studied fine arts in Kelowna and Vancouver, including printmaking at UBC, while earning his Bachelor of Education in Fine Art and English. He studied commercial art part time at Emily Carr and worked in Toronto as a graphic designer and illustrator in the 90's. He is currently a freelance artist, package and magazine art director and has taught graphic design and publishing at the university level. He works for various design firms and lives in Vancouver.
