Renée Van Halm is a Vancouver-based artist whose diverse practice includes the medium of collage, installation, printmaking, gouache, oil and acrylic paints. Van Halm was born in the Netherlands but grew up in Canada, where she attended the Vancouver School of Art (now Emily Carr University of Art and Design) and Concordia University. Much of her work references iconic elements of design, modernist architectural styles and the social role of architecture. Van Halm has exhibited widely across Canada and around the world, with over 30 solo exhibitions.
