Terry Ewasiuk was born in Vancouver in 1954. She graduated with Honours from the Vancouver School of Art in 1976 (now ECUAD) before receiving an MFA from Concordia University in 1978. She describes herself as a formalist and a feminist with an enduring fascination with popular culture. She was the recipient of a VIVA award in 1990. Ewasiuk received critical acclaim for her 2003 show of photographs entitled “So Lower Mainland”. She lives and works in Vancouver, BC.
