Saskia Jetten is a contemporary Dutch printmaker who immigrated to Canada in 2012, now residing on the Sunshine Coast, where she operates a print studio. Jetten works in a wide variety of media including graphite, woodcut, and stone lithography, as well as materials such as silks and ceramics. Her work touches on themes related to theatre, identity, and interpersonal relationships, and she often uses the face (or the mask) as a starting point for an artwork. Continually pushing the boundaries of printmaking, Jetten has exhibited widely in both Europe and Canada, and has received numerous prizes, most notably the Grafiek Nu 10 Dutch Printmaking Award.
